We’re looking for a proactive, results-driven Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our vibrant record stores. This role will focus on leading a productive team, driving in-store and online sales, and maintaining an organized, inviting store environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership:

  • Manage a team of 5-7 employees, fostering collaboration, accountability, and motivation.
  • Provide coaching, training, and feedback to ensure high employee productivity and satisfaction.

• Performance Tracking:

  • Implement systems to monitor and report on employee productivity daily and weekly.
  • Develop and track performance metrics to align with store goals.

• Inventory and Purchasing Oversight:

  • Monitor buying and inventory to align with store needs and trends, ensuring all genres are well-stocked and growing.
  • Oversee item pricing and organization to maintain an appealing and efficient store layout.

• Online Sales and Shipping:

  • Manage listings on platforms like Discogs and others, ensuring accurate and detailed product descriptions.
  • Oversee online order fulfillment, ensuring timely and efficient shipping processes.

• Sales Performance:

  • Drive both in-store and online sales to exceed targets, analyzing sales data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and customer engagement.

• Workflow Optimization:

  • Identify inefficiencies in shipping, inventory management, and other operational processes, implementing effective solutions.

• Store Maintenance:

  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and welcoming for customers and staff alike.
  • Maintain clear signage, displays, and a positive shopping environment.

• Strategic Decisions:

  • Lead hiring, training, and terminations to build and maintain a cohesive, high-performing team.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, including Jon, to align operations with company goals and strategies.

What You Bring:

• Experience managing employees in retail or similar environments, with a track record of improving productivity and operational efficiency.
• Proven ability to oversee both in-store and online sales operations.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
• Passion for music and knowledge of various genres and vinyl records.
• Familiarity with online selling platforms such as Discogs is a strong plus.

Looking for a physically strong, reliable person to help load trucks, move heavy boxes and transport record collections. You’ll typically work 2 days a week, moving items between Pico and Hollywood or picking up large collections. If you have a truck you’re willing to use, we’ll cover gas expenses.

If you have a knack for precision and efficiency, this role is for you. You’ll be pricing our extensive inventory (vinyl records, cassettes, CDs, and more), handling roughly 600 products per day. With a large amount of unpriced inventory, you’ll need to be quick, accurate and skilled in creating scalable processes.

We’re searching for someone who deeply understands Discogs, eBay, or online marketplaces. Someone who can craft captivating and informative listings to draw in buyers. This role requires adeptness in pricing records competitively, employing sound judgment and adapting to unique market circumstances. We’re looking for an optimist who views our inventory presentation as an opportunity to engage with the public, fostering enthusiasm and curiosity among potential customers.

In this role, you’ll ensure prompt order fulfillment across various online marketplaces (store website, Discogs, Whatnot, eBay, Amazon, Walmart, Etsy). Your responsibilities will include picking and packing items, purchasing shipping, providing tracking information, and communicating with customers to guarantee accurate delivery. You might occasionally climb a ladder to access high-stacked vinyl. You’ll also process returns. If you’re comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy problem-solving, this role gives you the autonomy to develop an efficient shipping system.
